LIGHT FLOOR

Slimline is substantially lighter than alternative building systems. The total weight of a Slimline floor including subfloor for common spans and loads is approximately 350 kg/m2. This allows achieving weight savings on the entire building of up to 50%. It also holds additional benefits for the required foundation and increases the possibilities to expand existing buildings with Slimline.

BUILDING DRY & QUICK

Slimline enables fast and straightforward construction. Thanks to the self-supporting prefabricated elements, propping is no longer necessary. The elements are instantly walkable after placement, which means the fitting of installations and finishing can commence immediately without impacting other activities. This allows merging multiple construction phases, which results in considerable savings on construction time and costs.

LARGE FREE SPAN

Slimline enables the realization of exceptional designs with unprecedented (re)compartmentation options. The self-supporting floor elements can be used to create large free spans of over 16 meters. Combined with the accessible building installations, the floor layouts remain fully adaptable. Furthermore, the large free span allows you to create, for example, a beautifully spacious atrium or a reception hall without columns.

MAXIMUM ADJUSTABLE

Slimline extends the building lifespan. Since the building installations aren’t poured in and remain permanently accessible, for example by means of Flex Zones, floor layouts can be easily changed, spaces can be conveniently merged or separated, and the installations can be updated to incorporate the latest standards. Over time, it’s even possible to change the function of (parts of) the building, for example from office to apartment or residential care, without the need for major reconstruction.

DIAPHRAGM ACTION AND TORSION

Slimline is capable of absorbing and transferring all forces occurring in a (high-rise) building. The floor elements are mutually coupled with structural connections, which results in the Slimline floor field acting as a structural diaphragm. The floor field is also structurally connected to the main load bearing structure. With a diverse portfolio of realized projects based on a wide range of different main load bearing structures, our team has extensive experience with all occurring forces, loads and structural connections.

HIGH FIRE RESISTANCE

The constructive Slimline floor system has a documented fire resistance in excess of 145 minutes. That’s the conclusion from multiple tests, performed by Dutch certified bodies Efectis and TNO on a composite floor under load. With a required fire resistance of 120 minutes in the Netherlands, Slimline far exceeds the requirements for high-rise construction for all possible applications. EXCELLENT ACOUSTICS

Slimline offers exceptional acoustic performance. The subfloor is acoustically decoupled from the main structure, which results in excellent sound insulation. By using the appropriate decoupling materials, Slimline is ideally suited to be used in a home separating application. In that case, the floating subfloor offers a light, efficient and sustainable alternative to classic ‘mass’, or a thick concrete slab. SLENDER FLOOR

Slimline enables you to create more square meters. With an exceptionally slender combination of ceiling, installation space and subfloor, Slimline saves between 40 and 50 cm height per floor when compared to traditional building systems. This results in a reduction of the gross floor height of 15%. With Slimline, it’s possible to create seven floors in the same building height it takes to create six with other building systems.
