In april 2012, construction group Jochems (previously Goldewijk Steenbergen) started construction of the commercial building in Oud Gastel for developer MM&E Vastgoed. The building was completed in 2012 and since been used by the company Matchvertise. Unique features are the concrete façade and the detailing of the interior finishing.
The premises, combining storage facilities and offices, was designed by Vergouwen en Van Rijen Architects. Unique features are the concrete façade and the detailing of the interior finishing. For this design, a cooling system based on an air-conditioning unit in the ceiling was selected. By using the Slimline floor system, an extraordinarily slender floor package with integrated airco-unit was possible.
The industrial look of the exterior is continued on the inside, for example by leaving the Slimline precast concrete slabs unfinished, which contributes to a robust ceiling look. The transitions from floor and ceiling to interior walls, façade and glass separators have been detailed as subtle and simple as possible. This philosophy has also been applied to the fall protection around the stairs.
